Have put on about 2000 mile on my ULTRA Limited, found engine runs approx. 50 - 60 degrees hotter than my built 2004 SE 103" in 90 degree f temp and last week when it was really hot I could start to hear pinging (detonation) phone HD and the say only way to clean it up was to hook it up to a SEST aI told them I was not going to pay over $700.00 to get the engine running properly and if I ruin the engine due to heat issues they would be replacing.

Here is my plan for now, and to try and maintain HD Warranty, maybe.

SE255 Cams,
Quick Install Pushrods
Heads Cleaned Up, may change the 1.805" intake and the 1.565 exhaust valves
.30 Cometic Head Gasket
SE Ventilator A/C
SEST
2010 Header, cat removal by Fullsac
Supertrapp Fatshots Dual Exhaust

Will be doing the mods within the month, taking the bike down to Phoenix soon, supposed to get 10 centimeters of snow next couple of days.

Just a suggestion.
Call or PM Jim, hd-dude.
I am using the Woods TW7H cams in my 09 SEUC.
He helped me immensely and I'm sure he will help you.
He knows these motors as well (if not better) as anyone and I trust his advice explicitly.
He may not be close enough to do your work but he can sell you the parts with a discount.

I haven't seen it used. Just dyno sheets here. I'm not impressed with that either. Not much better curve than the 255's! Take a look at the S&S 570 with some mild headwork, and add just a lil CR, like maybe up to 9.6-9.8, 58mm TB and a Quiet FatCat! I think you'll be happy with that. I believe they're available in Hydro Chain Drive now. ;)

Hoist,
Don't you think that 58 mm TB is a bit too much for a mild build??   the smaller TB will keep the tq  where you want it when you want it i have to think..

With them big ass valves in them 110 heads, I found thru testing that the larger TB smooths out the torque curve at the low and mid-range. You might need the stock injectors, instead of the SE hi-flow ones. You'll find that out during tuning when you check the injector cycling. But you need the flow thru these heads. ;)

In my testing on a stock motor with a cam change and pipes it lost throttle response and 3-4 ft /lbs torque in the midrange over a wide range when tested on the dyno. Added 3hp above 5K
SOTP was soggy compared to the original 50.
Hoist your build does not match the majority. What worked for you is not a slam dunk for most unless they have the identical set of parts. Most don't and just want more midrange grunt. That comes with ported heads, the corrected intake throat situation, and the proper choice of cams / compression. TB change is optional and in the case of FBW limited. In the case of cable TB the choices from the aftermarket would be best suited in the 51-55mm range for the riding style of most of the CVO110" riders I speak to.
For a straight answer on TBs call Eric at HPInc and ask him or ask another professional like Dan Baisley or Doug Coffe. Tell Eric what your riding style is and what are your goals. He will tell you bigger is not better in terms of grunt and velocity matters as will the others.
Hoist not trying to dog or discredit your build but really we would need to see a dyno sheet with reasonable range increments calculated and displayed with Winpep software and displayed in SAE correction to know where you are at today as it compares to other builds out there. That said I am sure you have a great running bike that is well tuned.

Chit Don, I'm still running on my last engine's tune, and it's still running excellent. Not sure if I'll bother retuning it. Pulls straight up to 6 grand, and got 44 MPG coming home from MV at 80. Can't do much better than that. Like I said, my experience on the 110's is based on fairly extensive testing of many components. As you know, you need to get the velocity up on these things to get them to perform more efficiently. Without changing valve sizes, all 110 head engines will benefit from a larger TB. Not just mine. Try putting a decent cam in w/o head work and bolt on a SE 58mm and tell me how surprised you are at how well it performs. I ain't selling NUTHIN! Just passing along my experiences. We're all big boys here and should be able to disseminate the facts from the BS. Just trying to help! ;)
