Hope it works out better than the old one. Seeing more people complaining about the old versions quitting on them, another thread on CVO's in general I believe. Let us know after you have some time with it.   [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Did we ever get a firm answer, or do I have to tear into my brand new bike? Does the 06 SE Ultra come with the Smart Siren II or not?

In prior threads a couple of members have said no.  Might check out the search function for the prior threads and conversations.

the smart siren 11 is part of the 2006 security pager (it is the transmitter & is intergrated with the siren) so it is out with the old & in with the new. It was a very simple operation on the Fatboy, can't see it being any harder on the Ultra. The smart siren (on the Fatboy) is located behind the plastic piece of the rear fender just near the base where the swingarm bolts to the frame.Thats all you need to do.

Cheers

Glad yours is working out Mike, I tried mine out and managed to get up to 85 feet across a motel parking lot. Lots of obstructions, so I was surprised. Plan to do some testing on flat and level parking lot to see if that's how MOCO came up with their numbers.

Ultra, if you check the p/n for your stock alarm siren, I'm pretty sure the Smart Siren II it's not the one installed on your ride. This one is a new item (mine had date code of 10/03) in the P&A catalog, has a longer antenna and a transmitter incorporated in the siren module itself.

Installed mine today. Reprogrammed my 2 key fobs and all is well. Have no instructions on the Pager reciever. Doesn't show it's receiving any signal. Can turn it on and off, silent or alarm/vibrate. But no signal on distance nor alarm when triggering the bike. Does it have to be reset like the key fobs?A nyone have instructions on this Pager Receiver II? None came with them. Second question. It says the backup battery will need a 4 hour ride to charge up. Can't. It's winter. Have it on the HD trickle charge. Will this charge up the backup battery?

BA2,
There was a small booklet with the pager, at least in the one I got. I can scan it in and post in here on Monday. Does give some basic instructions on the use and care, but nothing detailed. It's a disposalble battery in the pager, but the Smart Siren II is powered off the 12V system, with a 9V battery backup. (UPDATE: scan of "Operations Manual" attached.
