I'm gonna try the FL-Xieds from Nightrider to help minimize heat. Just can't deal with changing the exhaust on a $30k+ bike!  :o

Is it possible to get the fans on the back side of the oil cooler verses hanging them on the front?

The fan in the horn location. Is that a HD accessory? I looked it up and it doesn't look like the pic. of the one you posted.

The Lenale oil cooler fan, (no longer available), mounts the fan in front of cooler. The Big Sky Fan model mounts behind the oil cooler.

The Lenale Engineering fan assembly is actually made by them modifying a Harley Davidson #69167-02A Air Wing Horn Cover to include a 12volt, 200 CFM fan. Clever!

I had them on my bike and the engine did run a bit cooler but my gas mileage suffered quite a bit. If you talk to Steve at Fullsac Performance he should be able to give you some great suggestions for controlling heat.

How much change did you see?

It ran about 15 to 20 degrees cooler but lost about 15 mpg. The XIED's cause the motor run very rich. After a ride or two you will notice excessive carbon build up inside the exhaust endcaps.

That's a significant drop in mpg. Not what I was hoping for. Thanks for the feedback.

I just ordered the cooler fans from Milan at BigSky. One thing for sure he wastes no time in replying to questions or processing your order. I think I will see how these work. I have not found good posts about the Lenale fan as far as customer service or warranty goes.

Ive run them on my last two bikes, 13.8 is not that rich an AFR, I did not experience a significant drop in fuel mileage, every bike is different but the IED's alone should not cause a rich condition, did you do any other Modifications?
