Bars FLHTCUSE5
« on: March 03, 2010, 06:27:11 AM »

Hi, just picked up my new scoot yesterday. Loving it and can't wait for the weekend to put a few miles on her - but a question about the 'bars. I'm 6'2" with a 35" inseam, and my knees are fouling the bars in slow speed turns. I'm going to get back to the dealer about rotating the bars forward slightly, at full right lock the bars clear the gas tank only by about 1/8th of an inch. How's everyone else's bike set up? Does anyone know what sort of range the stock bars can be rotated through?

Thanks Marty, at the moment I'm happy with the stock bars, at least until I've got a few miles in. Really the question is on whether or not the bike has been correctly set up. As I mentioned, the clearance at full lock is miniscule; I just wonder if the bars are rotated too far back. I'll certainly get the dealer to check it, in the meanwhile just canvassing opinion.
