Jiffy Stand and Oil Levels
« on: June 02, 2010, 05:17:33 PM »

Hello Everyone,

I have one of the SERG jiffy stands that leans pretty far to the left (I wish I could find one that leaned to the right  ).  Since I check my oil while on the jiffy stand, I was wondering if it screws up the reading.  Would the corrected jiffy stand that is less left leaning be better?  From what I recall HD was replacing those stands under warranty.  When I check my oil, I have one of the temp/oil level gauges HD sells.

not to hijack, but what's the deal with the jiffy stand? How do I know if mine is one of the extreme leaning ones? It doesn't look excessive to me, but I'm not sure how far over it's supposed to be leaning.....

You need to discuss with your dealer, some of the first bikes out HAD THE INCORRECT KICK STAND INSTALLED, that's why it leads too much, HD will replace it with the correct one at no cost.
