SERG sidestand
« on: December 26, 2008, 10:23:47 PM »

My '09  ???SERG seems to lean too far over on its sidestand.  There is an updated bracket for the SEEG, could the 'Glide suffer the same ailment?  Anybody else notice the angle??

Most of the pictures that I have seen all look like the bike leans pretty far. A kickstand wedge would take some of the lean out.

Does this bracket need to be replaced on all '09 SERGs?

Hey George, my Canadian dealer shot me down today to replace the bracket.  Any idea which US dealer I could get acknowledgement of this problem from?  Tks Gordy

Gordy,  this is an HD issue, not a dealer issue so it was not for them to "shoot you down."  Speak to the service manager or sales manager at the dealer.   If you don't get satisfaction, call the HD customer service line.  Good luck!

Greg (not George, I apoligize) thanks for the info.  My problem is that HD Canada doesn't realize that there is a problem and I guess untill HD USA sents them a memo they stay uninformed-so Gordy don't get the new part yet.

Correct, its a one time MoCo upgrade, my dealer is installing mine in the spring, under warranty.

At first I thought it was because my older bike was lowered & this one is not, , or because the bags were lower, but after getting to ride for the first time in three months, yes I think it leans too much,   I too have contacted my dealer here in Georgia, I'll let ya know what happens. ::)
