I hear ya. I never had a Mustang, but always wanted one (they didn't make one for my last bike), so when I recently bought my SERG, I ordered one (2 pc Touring one w/rider backrest), and was a bit let down. I picked up the bike and rode it home 1,300 miles in 4 days (2 up), and after the longer days, I was a bit sore, and thought it didn't leave much room to move around (locked in one position). Being a Corbin fan, I think it's too soft.

So, I just sent it off to Mean City Cycles-it's going to get a firmer memory foam, narrower nose, and I asked for it to be slightly lower and back. I sure hope I'll be happy with it when I get it back, after spending so much on buying it, then having to modify it.

One good thing- my GF likes her seat (the 13" wide pillion), so no mod's necessary for half the seat.

BTW Fuzznuts, I saw your ad, and thought you missed a number in front of that $_75.00.....what a steal for somebody!!

Which one is too soft ?
The mustang or the Corbin ?

I've ordered one of the new Mustang's but so far haven't received it.  Ordered from Jenni but I don't know what the problem is.  One piece of paper I got with another piece I ordered said "unavailable" so I hope that's not true.

 :cherry:

"Which one is too soft ?
The mustang or the Corbin ?"

Having had both brands,  I would say the Mustang is softer.  But when you say "Too soft",  that's a personal observation and dependent upon how padded (or not) your azz is and how far (at one time) you plan on going without stopping.

I could handle about 300 miles or so on the Corbin and then I was all done.  Next day,  less than that.  Ended up (at HD 100 yr anniversary in Milwaukee),  buying a (gel pad) to make the return trip.   Now,  I own a Mustang seat but have not yet ridden that long of ride to compare...........I'm thinking the (softer) Mustang seat will prove out being more comfortable for an extended ride. :nixweiss:

Well, I tested out my MCC modified Mustang seat- did a 2 day trip down to Zanottis in Butler, PA (2 x 300 mile days).

I'm not pleased-I had a Corbin Stinger on my last bike, and never got a sore ass-I should have went with a Corbin from the start.

Just a slight thread hi-jack, but I will be posting an ad to see if anybody has a Corbin Dual Tour that would like to trade seats with me.
