A "canned" tune is just that. It'll get you pretty close. But if you're wanting a perfect tune (shown in the link I provided above), it has to go on the dyno with a tuner that knows what he's doing. Tuning, like any skill, varies from one tuner to another. JMHO
Revolutions EMS is one of those products that that fall in a category `until you try it, you won't believe it`. There are already comparison reports coiming out showing that an EMS tune is as perfect than a 3 hour Dyno Tune or a Master Tune for the matter. (not my opinion, just some facts i have seen lately) And one of the neat things with the new EMS tune; it does not vary like a skilled Dyno tuner would/does. With EMS you get a dam close to perfect tune on the fly in any riding conditions, i.e from sea level to Tahoe.

You are apsoutley correct, dyno tuner skills do vary from one to the other, and it seems that more tuners now days dont know what they are doing and your tune varies in a not so good direction; its kind of a crap shot that will cost ya about $500 bills. And then when you decide you want to change exhaust or cams, guess what?? there goes another $500 bills. Trust me! like many others out there, I've been there and did this many times. Since I've grown older and wiser along with having trust in the EMS system, I have choosen an EMS tune for all my bikes and find it very interesting when my wife even notices and proclaims after installing hers "honey my bike runs great, what did you do"

Now, if for some reason if I had to resort to a professional dyno tune, Metal Dragon would be first on my list

Hayward group would be a second choice but there are some 'varying' not so happy camper reports coming out 'so IMO, they are now a crap shot.
