Rut-rohh you might be alone in that situation.  Only one or two that's put a CB on a SESG.  I think most of us listen to XM only so we went with one of the hidden antennas up in the fairing.  Not much help today. :nixweiss:

X2 on that.  Dumped the stock antenna and installed a hidden antenna in the fairing.

What did you guys do about the antenna? Did you have a system that allows you to disconnect the stock antenna and attach it to the pack, and then back to stock when your not using it? I have a all-in-one(cb,am,fm,wb) antenna so I need to use it whenever I ride.

The antennae just conveniently lays back underneath the tour pak with it's stock mount. I know-----I thought it was B.S . too til I tried it. I even had already built a mount with all detach stuff for it so I could swap it from the TP to the stock mount . Then I just tried it one day and lo and behold it works just fine. My TP is detachable so now I have a very clean look on it with no antennae on the back of it and I don't have to move anything . When I remove  the TP the antennae just resumes it's normal angled position. Try it ------you will like it.

You can always buy an antenna relocation kit.   I did it.  ::)

I tried a hidden antenna for the cb, worked like crap. I would like to see a pic of your antenna under the tour pack.

I like the look of the chopped tour pack. But I would go with the king because I will only use it for function. Just my 2 sense.

Could you please provide a few pic's?  I just put the tour pack on & based on what others are saying about the hidden antenna's reception (no clear choice), this would be a possibility.

For "Easy Rider"------------            Ok, here it is . Nothing tricky or complicated about this. I simply laid the antennae backwards and let it rest under the tour pak when the tour pak is installed. When I remove the pak the antennae resumes its normal position as in this first photo.

And rear view( sorry its dark , but you can still see the antennae)      Hope this gets it for you "Easy Rider".  By the way when you look at  this image click on the picture(single click) and it will get much bigger for you . You can see the antennae just fine then.

When I put the king TP on, I too just bend the antenna backward and secure it with a cable tie to keep it from rubbing on the tour pack. Take the tour pack off and clip the zip tie, and voila....it is as it was before!
