Actually I saw a similar type product a number of years ago and was amazed... The only thing that caught my attention when the fellow pulled up was that he dismounted and walked away without putting the kickstand down!
When he pulled out after lunch we of course knew they were there, but we were all struck by how non-noticable they seemed to be, once retracted when he got up to speed.
I rode a trike when Harley first introduced them and at first I said that if I ever get to a point where holding the bike is a concern, at least with a trike the wind is still in my face and I still get a thrill... However, after a 1/2 hour of riding it, going through some S-turns and around corners, I quickly changed to, If I ever get to that point I will buy a bigger boat!
No offence meant to trike riders, they're just not my cup of tea. The Landingear may just do the trick though.
