I try and put heavier, dense stuff in the tour pack & saddle bags and go with lighter weight, space consuming items in the bag.  It works pretty well.  It seems that rain gear and a few tools fill one of the saddle bags.  The reduced storage in the leather tour pack led to us looking for a functional bag for the luggage rack.

Sometimes we take off not knowing where we're going to be staying or exactly when we'll get there, so shipping items ahead isn't always an option.  We have shipped items back, but never tried shipping them ahead.  Thanks for the suggestion!

Yeah, Aut...I've got the Kur bag, and just keep our lightweight rainsuits in the lid, and the mesh jackets, the GF's hip purse, and other small items that we need to get to quickly/easily.

That's a nice looking bag, and fits well on the tourpak rack...., but if I give the GF any more room, she'll just fill it up with stuff either before or after we get somewhere....oops, forgot she reads stuff on here   ;)

Uh Oh!!!! Hmmm, wonder if I should send GF a PM to let her know about this post? Let me think about how some of my friends were having such a good time a few days ago at my expense while I was at work. Should I, or shouldn't I? [smiley=nixweiss.gif] [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

Nah, but it was nice having TC in the hot seat for a moment. Gotcha!!

The link to the Willie & Max site is provided below.  You'll be looking for the "Switchback" bags.  The MCS100 is the "Main" bag and the MCS200 is the "Overnight" bag.  They both fit the luggage rack, both have the straps and accessories mentioned previously, and both have a rigid internal frame, so they hold their shape.
