ECM P1511 code. Not on list??
« on: June 13, 2012, 09:37:24 AM »

My SERG went into limp mode the other night.  Engine light came on and nothing more than idle.  Kinda sucked since I was on the street at the time.  Was able to shut it off, let it sit for a few minutes, then it started and got me home.  I researched pulling codes and obtained a list of codes from the fine folks on this forum, but the code stored, P1511, was not on the list of codes.  Does anyone have any idea what this code represents?  I cleared it, started bike, it ran okay until I rapped the throttle a few times, then the light, idle and code came back.

Thanks.

Check this thread:

Thank you Twolanerider!

Everything mentioned in that thread rings true to my situation.  We have a very bright Electrical Service Engineer here where I work and he has recommended Deoxit D-5 or Deoxit Gold die-electric grease.  It has fixed many an intermittent problem in our electric forklifts.

Good luck.  With that particular code you do have at least a fair chance of a simple solution.  Will keep my finger crossed.
