Without trying to chase down part numbers before work this morning, I'm wondering if the Ultras had a slightly different adjuster as they came with the lowers from the factory. You had to change out your mounting brackets to accomplish this. Just a thought.

I did the same mod and had the same problem. There are 3 adjustment screws, the 2 you can get to by the holes in the inner fairing and 1 that is at the top of the headlight assembly. If you adjust the upper screw to bring the HD assembly back it works fine. Down side is you have to remove the outer fairing to get to it. I also replaced the outer trim with the one of a 2010 and up.

Maybe we should get together and discuss this. I think I understand but not 100% sure. You going on the toy run this Sat?
