That sounds like the work of Don Morris.
Your right, Don did the work and a nice clean job too. Maybe he can explain which Cobras where used. Can someone give a contact number here. I've seen the bike and the dyno sheet, both are excellent! twinotter

Now I'm leaning towards this set-up. Good #s and I did like the Monster Ovals on the "08.
The Von Brauns have a 'rail' down the side that will run behind the extended part of the bags...don't think that'll look right.

my wife will slay me alive if i make the bike louder [15 years ago she wanted loud....]

im all for power - but the older i get the less i like noise, gives me a headache. some years i end up where i can ride to work everyday & going through the little burgs at 5 in the morning i am easy on the gas, i hate it went folks wake me up just to be loud.

the 4" stock mufflers will bark pretty good when passing a truck or cranking up a big hill, but thats enough. if i had a bar hopper, id have that loud, but the bike i ride all over all the time, i want it fairly quiet.

He's got Cobra slip ons on his own RG and has gotten good numbers with them, so he likes them.

I guess I'll be the Guinea Pig!  :nervous:
I have the power port duals ordered and will report back on them. I like the "idea" that they are actually true duals with a pressure balance tube like we use on cars. Cobra will answer your email promptly but they don't seem to be very well versed in the product. I plan to add ceramic coating inside the headers and wrap them in header heat wrap before installing them. Vtunes come next. Installation will have to wait until I can get another TTS for this bike.

I have had them for some time but have been waiting for the new TTS. I have them on tonight. Should have the tuner this week. They fit well and sound great. I haven't been on the road but it has a nice bark when I hit the throttle and a really nice sound at idle. I using 4" Bubs that I had on the stock headers.
While I had it apart, I wrapped the headers with heat wrap and put the heat shields on. I hoping that will help with the heat.
So far, so good.
