An idea on the wheels.  Their stock wheels aren't anything special to look at.  In fact they're a bit ugly in comparison to other stuff you'll see.  And they are hard to keep clean.  But they're functional and the company's upgrade wheel options are expensive.  It's not something you have to do as the original wheels roll and roll and roll just fine.  It's purely a cosmetic upgrade.  There is a middle ground option though.  For a lot less money than the accessory wheels the stock wheels can be powder coated.

So Don, which color blue should I paint powdercoat the wheels on the Bushtec?

All good advise so far.  However, one optional item that was not mentioned was the rear bumper.  I think the rear bumper protects the trailer from damage, especially when moving the trailer or when things are moving around the trailer.

:jack: You asked Don and I'm buttin' in here but why not paint them a rainbow of blue to match 'em all... :2vrolijk_21:

OK, not really worth a butt in....sorry.  BTW, I've always admired all of your blue bikes but that bushtec shore looks good, too.  As I'm an Auburn fan, shore wud look good with a little burnt Orange in the mix....jst sayin'.... ::)   :jack:

I powdercoated mine silver so the look stays the same, but makes them easy to clean. Any local powder coater can do it when you make up your mind on the color, just need new bearings if I remember correctly. I have the garment bag but have never used it. A spare tire and a couple of tubes, and set of bearings, is a must because you just cannot find replacements easily, if at all,  on the road.

I am on my second Bushtec and cannot disagree with any of the advice.  Mostly it boils down to how many $$$$ you want to shell out. I color matched my 07 cuse with chrome wheel, tubular chrome bumper, chrome tongue with stand, garment bag and cooler. My wheel upgrade was $900 and now it is even more. Worth it to me because I plan to keep the trailer. I did upgrade to LED lights when those became available. Recommend that and interior light like Don said.

Can't speak to any of the other models but can to the Roadstar.  On that model the rear bumper is entirely cosmetic.  You drill holes through the fiberglass body to hang it.  No structural support at all.  In fact you don't even want to lift the trailer by the bumper.

I agree, when I had mine painted the bumper was dumped and the holes filled in for a cleaner look.
