It's weird but I don't even know why I don't like the Red Sox. I love Fenway. Just absolutely adore that stadium (even if I get lost trying to get there every time). And I can remember as a kid being a big Yastrzemski fan. I was a kid in Orange County so it's understandable hating the Giants. And the Braves were devils until they changed divisions only because they won too damn much. Root for the Angels as expected too. But somehow over the years I became a pretty solid Yankee fan too. That's the only reason I can think I ended up rooting against the Red Sox all the time. It's just another Dodgers/Giants thing. If you like one you MUST despise the other [smiley=nixweiss.gif] .
The only difference for me is that I can root against the Red Sox and still like the players and respect them and the team. The Giants, however, can all burn in hell under the crumbling ruins of their fancy new stadium devestated by a stadium localized earthquake.
