Mine came with a keychain type ring and I mounted it on the bottom front frame where there was a small eyelet/hole between the fight floorboard and the oil cooler. I just fed the ring around the eye/hole just as tough you would put a key on it. It's super secure, hangs freely and you can still see it.

In Australia we call them Guardian Bells
Mine hangs from the bottom of my forward controls

Duece, we call them that here also, guess like many other things, many people have different names, when the post started, I knew what they were talking about but I call it the Guardian Bell, Chip
