considering cost of parts and repairs in the UK, have you thought about shipping the motor to the US to have it rebuilt?  Shipping will be pricey, but may still be cheaper than buying the parts in the UK.  Maybe someone like Hillside (Scott) could work something out with you on this front.  If S&S 124 is available in the UK, then you should seriously consider it.

Why make the issue so complicated. We send parts over there and all over the world on a very regular basis.  Example your 2007 engine is black not granite , ( we just did this for a guy in UAE)  we bought a set of 110 heads and jugs bore hone fit pistons, the newer heads really do not have the issues the older ones did however we still replaced all guides used a 2.140 valve cut down to 2.130 CNC valve job, cc deck bee hive springs. rest of the parts are really minor items and ship it.

What many are not getting is the lack of dyno help or service help at a shop. We have been using the powervision with wide band 02 sensors for you guys to let you auto the bike without having to find a dealer.  We have very good base maps that we have built here, supply the 02 bungs etc,

Some things in other parts of the world are not easy what so ever. A 110 with a cam upgrade is more than enough for most guys and not killing the budget. Shipping a  complete engine into another country can get tricky with taxes and duties.. what should be simple is not.  Parts on the other hand do not create an issues at all.

We have two 124 crate engines going to Australia as we speak .

Please don't take this the wrong way but if you don't have a warranty or ESP that means you are paying for the whole project correct?  If that is the case why on earth would you want to put another stock 110?  To many other choices for better running power plants like the S&S 124 which fits your bike.  Runs cooler, stronger and should last 2 to 3 times longer.  If you don't want the 124 you could have a 110 built from the ground up using prooven components.  Maybe it's just me but having just faced the same issue their was no way I was going to pay for another short lived 110 motor.

Good luck on your choice.

Speaking of 124"s, how has yours been rolling, Ray?
