If any of you have ever had a DUI or any felony in the States they will not let you into Canada. Don't try to bring any handgun or amo. Take the 6 wd bus tour out onto the glacier between Banf & Jasper. Stop and take lots of pictures along the Colombian Ice field rd. Pray for sunshine!  I traveled all over BC & Alberta on my bike and go Moose, deer, and bear hunting every year at Horsefly near 100 mile house BC. Great country and great people.
Have a blast.

It is easy to get distracted, gawking at the mountains etc., but keep an eye peeled for wildlife.  Smacking into the side of a moose will wreck yur day for sure.  I would caution against travel at night, just because those big bastards are just like a sponge for light.  They don't reflect nothin, and before you know it, you are on em!

The same goes for us heading down...but, it's not applied all the time. The Black Ball ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria has a very 'informal' customs procedure....had buddies with DUIs from both sides make it both ways there.

Lots of good tips guys.  Our stops are, Ashcroft, Prince George, Hinton, Canmore, Castlegar, and Hope.  We tried to book motels slightly out of the high price areas.

I will definetly keep an eye out for Moose.  I usually ride sweep so that can be an advantage on the road.

I had forgotten about the Imperial gallon also.  No guns, no DUI's.  Let my bank know I am heading out so they don't cancell my credit cards.

I'm getting excited.  I'm ready to go.

Ashcroft hey? Too bad you'll be missing the bike drags are running there this weekend, it's always a blast to watch 6 second nitro Harley's  :orange:
If you have the time, a run into Lillooet ( an=bout an hour outside of Ashcroft) is a good ride. Used to be the largest city west of San Francisco
at the height of the gold rush... Or run into Barkerville, which is a living ghost town of an old gold rush town as well. That's about an hour out of Quesnel, which
is on your way to PG.
Ashcroft to PG is only about 4 hours, even at a leisurely pace. So either of those little excursions are well worth it. I'd offer to tour you through (I'm just off the path
in Kamloops) but I'll be in the Kootenay's ripping it up with my brother  :)
Gas in this are is closer to $1.35/L or $5.40 a US gallon.

Be sure that a wanted career criminal has not stolen your ID. It turns a rather bland border crossing into a weapon clad adventure.  :o

If you have a GPS set it up for Kilometers so you can watch your speed as the Speed signs are in Kilometers.  I don't remember ever doing 70 MPH in Canada.  I did see someone being stopped for speeding, but she had passed us doing at least 85 MPH.  Have a safe and great trip.  BC is beautiful.
