UPDATE....

He took it apart and found no reason for the sumping... said it look like top notch install...  :2vrolijk_21:

He states that the Axtell oil pressure plunger seems to be sticking slightly when he checked that part of the install.... said some of the cast cam plates seem to do that....  :nixweiss:

So he wants to put in his billit plate with 3 stage oil pump and S&S lifters....

Told him to do it.... I'll let you all know the results.....

That will take care of the sumping. Not sure why it was happening, but what he is doing will for sure fix your problem. Oh and the bike will run a lot better!!!!

Be Safe

Assume he's going to check the crank runout before he installs the pump?  If you haven't done the bottom end (maybe I missed it in your original post), I will be surprised if you are at, or below, the .0035" needed.  Stock, my 2012 SEUC was at .012". :o

You are still going to have noise from the throttle body with cams that any amount of overlap. The new DBW throttle bodies do not have the IAC gismo and use the stepper motor to control the butterfly to control idle speed therefore the constant clackty clack at idle. You may also get the reversion noise again at about 2200rpm roll on. If anybody has found a fix I would like to know about it.

ok.... here goes the results......

With a fueling plate, 3 stage oil pump, over sized fueling lifters, over sized lifter align pins, the orig Axtell bypass valve installed...... Wait for it......

Eng still has noise..... but it honestly has less than it did stock, but for all the $ that went into this New Bike..... IT SUCKS.... PERIOD !!!!

45 thousand dollar noisy POS ..... so the owner says, and I don't blame him.... I feel so bad for suggesting to do the T-Man upgrade....  :wall:

He sold his Super quite and show room clean 05 SEEG to get this new bike.... So he says he will ride it this way it is for now.

I know him like my own brother.... that bike is on bowered time.... he stated the Indian Chief is looking real good.....

Note... I put cams and Cometic gaskets, Zippers tensioners, stock push rods, to his brothers 2013 Ultra Limited and that motor has no noise at all except for the TB pulsating...

Go figure.....

Go with a different cam with gentler ramps.  600 lift simply isn't whats happening with 100% stock heads anyways.

I also think its those cams. Aggressive ramps are always noisy. It could be the lifters in conjunction with the cams. Ticking can also be from the rods hitting the top of the pushrods.

My SE 259e cams are very quiet with the HQ Black Ops lifters and Feuling adjustable pushrods that I run.

Good luck finding the noise issue...
