It all makes sense what you are saying. My only question is where is the NIM located? Is this built into the mount or is it located inside the fairing somewhere?

I tried to pull the plastic connector out of the mount and it did not seem like it wanted to come out.

The connection from the 660 to the NIM is inside the fairing.  You have to pull the outer fairing to gain access to it.

NIM is on the right hand side of the radio as you are standing in front of the bike. The NIM is the flat black box with the RED led, the last thing to the right in the pic.

Thanks for the help guys! While being snowed in over the weekend I was able to install the splitter and everything works great! I am going to enjoy having my music on the GPS instead of the Ipod.
