It's really hard for me to see his AFR line. It's too bunched up. It does look like one is better than the other, and maybe more fuel can equal more timing and that might be better numbers, but I don't see the shape of the curve changing to much.
The example I give with the 585 and its 45 close is a good example of a cam that is pretty decent for low end grunt with compression. Still dead until 3000. With good slip-ons. He wouldn't have to wait until 3500 to reach 110. He could have 2500-2800. I have had good success with GMR's 577 and it's 43 close. It's not magic and won't make a bad combination perform.
IMO putting on stock or recored would raise the tq at 2000-2500. Then cam it. Smile on owners face.
