I am also using Lyndall pads - with good results.  If you liked them before, why not stay with them?

Check out SBS HH pads, I've run them for 14 years, they give off little or no dust on my 01 Dyna. I assume they make them for the newer bikes too. Cheaper than stock, cheaper than Lyndall offer good initial bite and super stopping power when required. My front pads have almost 60k(klms) and still are about 50%. That includes all out stops from 150mph several times just for kicks. fwiw Buffalo

So,  I gotta ask if you're 150 MPH runs that use these pads are done on a Harley and if so,  could we have more specifics so that many of us don't call out Bull Sh** on this comment,  cause that speed typically would not come via a Harley on the road. :confused5:

I assume he meant 150 km/h reading the other part stating getting 60 K kilometers life.

That's around 93 mph and even a Harley can do that.

I prefer the Lyndall over the ebc, I think initial bite is better on Lyndall. Also I had a piston stick on my '05 and wore the pad crooked, I showed it to the Lyndall man @ Bikeweek and he on the spot gave me two new sets. I was going to buy the pads, the wear was not his fault, it was HD's fault. He would not hear of me paying him and I will forever be a Lyndall guy. BEST customer service ever.

I don't know if EBC has changed their material, but a few years back they produced a tremendous amount of brake dust and wore out before a rear tire. Hard on rotors too. They must have changed if folks like them. I've had excellent service with Lyndall, very little dust and quiet.

I'm on my first set of Lyndal Gold on my Road Glide CVO. Have 9K miles on the front ones and 6K miles on the rear one. My rear wheel is full of brake dust, not as bad as EBC pads but never the less, not dustless like some of you are experiencing.

Most of what you see is Belt and road dust

I'd have to agree with you on that. I'm not sure why maybe the belt drive creates static electricity, what ever the cause one good ride on a clean rear wheel and it's covered with road dust. IDK but I've always felt the stock pads produce very little dust while giving good wear and rotor life.

In a related way,  for whatever reason, some manufactorers use pads that "dust" way more than others.  Take a hard look next time out for those expensive Mercedes cars.   A quick look at the front wheels,  willl more often than not........show to be extremely dirty compared to the rear wheels or rest of car.

Clearly,  they went with a type of pads that "dust" quite easily. :nixweiss:

look, when i changed the pads from stock to lyndall the dust went to nearly zero...so i can tell you from personal experience that brake dust was the significant issue, and it was not the belt or the road that was the major contributor

when i heard that people were having trouble contacting lyndall i simply became concerned that they were no longer available so was asking for alternatives
