I have rented from Eaglerider in Denver, rented for 30 days (July2013) and had great service. Bike was in good nick, just serviced and new tyres fitted prior to pick up. Have toured the States and rented from Eaglerider on 5 occasions, never had any hassles.

Friend of mine rented from High Country HD in Frederick last Fall for a week loop up to Rushmore and Yellowstone.  He got a new Ultra Limited and seemed happy with the rental.

Second the High Country HD used them in 2013 ,Were great, partner and I had a new Ultra and Road Glide Ultra, they were first class and even held some "extra" bags for us until we returned 2 weeks later. Colorado was something  as well..

Eagle Rider is based right in Denver itself, pretty good service but you'll find expensive that time of year due to surcharge for Sturgis bike week.

As far as dealers go, Mile High is close to the airport but you gotta book early because they don't have a huge selection of bikes.

Little bit further out you'll find that Thunder Mountain has good, late model and plenty of Bikes, and cheaper than EagleRider.

My recommendation is Thunder Mountain, HUGE dealer, the visit to their location will blow you away, don't expect to walk away from them without spending a few bucks on stuff you will want to buy.

X2 for Thunder Mountain in Loveland. That is where I found out I needed a street glide, after renting one.

I have been asking for reccomendations / whereto visit our trip is definetly on . This is what has come from one source dont if thats correct or not but more than happy to receive your input / advice been waiting a long time to do this and i dont want to waste my opporunity to vusit your country again ,ive been only ti Florida which we enjoyed but i dont believe its the real US of A .

Nebraska is one of the least interesting states there is.  Flat & tearfully boring.  Kansas is #2 on that list.

The Dakotas are flat & bleak.

Utah can be very interesting if only for its desolateness as well, and there's the Bonneville Salt Flats on route 80 on the Utah/Nevada border.  [Check when they have record-setting events there.]

There are some good Nat'l Parks: Petrified Forest, Estes Park, Pikes Peak, Yellowstone with its geysers, the Tetons, etc.  Trail Ridge Road, is worth the visit (ride).  The Badlands are interesting/unique, but relatively small, and I think they're actually too 'bad' to drive thru.  [?]

The eastern half of CO is as boring as KS & NB, but the western half of Colorado is v. mountainous and v. scenic.   Ditto, Wyoming.

Montana is interesting if only for it's absolute vastness.

If you do your research, there are some historically interesting Indian sites around: Custer's last stand, etc.  But mostly places where 'we' took their land and killed them off or ran them off.  There are remnants of the various wagon train trails--there were several--some still have visible wagon wheel ruts/tracks across the barren landscape.  There are also some dinosaur bone sites.  Some pony express trails, but you'd have to do your homework/research.  For your Brit Buds, I'd think the sheer vastness of "The West" would be of interest.
