Trading Harley for Indian
« on: February 20, 2015, 04:37:28 PM »

so i got this email the other day.  sounded very good, so i thought i would go to my nearest indian dealer and check it out.  seems i can trade my harley even up for an indian.  it's only 2 hrs north so i figured while i'm off next week, i'll go check it out.  i don't think i'd mind a new indian.  i guess it would depend on the color scheme.

I got an email that said something about a $1,000.00 dollar incentive for HD owners to purchase a new Indian bike and at first I thought maybe that was the email you were referring to and that you were going to take them up on the "special" trade in offer... :nervous:

I too am thinking of trading in an old HD T-shirt for one of the Indian dealerships offerings  - lord knows I've got plenty of Harley shirts  :huepfenlol2:

Resorting to gimmicks, and desperate measures already. When you ask a HD owner to trade his ride for another brand that's when the heels dig in and the pride of ownership comes out in full force. I bet no one will trade there HD, ever.

Awwwe Hell ekim60...I am a little disappointed that you are not trading your cvo for an Indian. I think we all would have enjoyed giving you crap and abusing you. I think it would have been a whole lot of fun. :D

I know two people who have traded their Harley for an Indian.  One is extremely happy, has 21K on his 14 Chief.  Main reason for happiness according to him, is everything works, has had zero issues on like his Harley.  Not sure if he is truthful about no issues on the Indian, but we all know that Harleys have multiple issues.  I have yet to own one that did not have at least five or six warranty issues.

I would take a lot of issues before I even thought about an Indian let alone trade.
