Extended Service Plan
« on: February 26, 2015, 05:19:17 PM »

Had a front wheel bearing go, module for the auto locks, and an Ipod module both to be replaced under my ESP.  Neck bearings were loose too on my 2011 FLTRUSE only thing not covered was the neck bearings not sure why.

because the neck bearings being loose is a maintenance issue, not a warranty issue.

Pretty sad commentary on the quality and reliability of the product, unfortunately.

Yeah which is even more reason to purchase the ESP. Unless you enjoy doing your own wrenching and know what you are doing, which I do not in both cases.

Had one on an 2011 CVO Road Glide, replaced tranny bearing, 3 seals, and the complete engine, firm believer in the ESP

I work with guys that ride BMW's and they complain about their dealer more.  First they have to haul the bike about 120 miles for service because the local dealer is "really" bad.  Then, if anything needs to be fixed, it might be there for three or four months waiting on a part to be delivered from Europe.  Granted they do not need parts as often.

But then again, they are not always having the engine worked on for more HP, more torque, better mileage, always something.

I do keep the ESP current on the bike I ride all the time and has been beneficial.

Just got my bike march 1. I saw a wet spot on floor...well the shift linkage was leaking. I was told they had to pull primary and tranny. It is taking 3 days to fix. Luckily I rode the bike 300 miles so the esp kicked in. I was glad i had the esp. The bike only had 15k on it.  8)
