'Was one of the first ones to have the ICA Bluetooth installed, works great! :2vrolijk_21: I got the model that comes with a switch that allows the rear aux jack to function.

The early ones didn't have as much range as some others out there, the mobile device had to be within 3-4 ft. of the HK. I spoke with Tony and he said the amp (in the fairing) might cut down on the range.

A few months later, I spoke with ICA about the backlight going out, after looking up my records, he told me that if I send the HK in, that they had a new and improved Bluetooth unit (more range) and that they would update mine at no charge.

I really like it!

Second generation has much greater range.
We're now also able to give you track advance using the radios "right" arrow.

They've always turned around my stuff in 1 or 2 days tops.

If you have (or are considering) an amp get them to install the preamp outs. (an exponential improvement in sound quality!)

We're still recovering from our move.
Turnaround as of 3/7/15 is 4 days.
hope to have it back to 2 days in a week.

Pack your HK very carefully. If you can get your hands on a small block of styrofoam and cut out for the HK, then bubble wrap would be best. Always remember......if its small enough for the shipper to throw, count on it being thrown.

ICA, any plans on having a booth at Sturgis this year? Back in the 'stan again and unable to pull anything from the bike. Vacation time is slated from 02 Aug-30 Aug.

I'm pulling my radio today and sending it back to Iron Cross for this upgrade, if my iPod goes out, I have my phone, or I could use the power source in the tourpack and plug the phone in and use the bluetooth for my sounds, either way I will have great sounds.

You will not regret it.. one of the best things I ever did on my 06.. I don't know why I haven't done it on my 10 yet.  They also repaired my water damage and the thing worked great.. very very quick and great customer service!

I have heard a great deal about Iron Cross Audio,  so I pulled my HK and shipped it off for the Blue Tooth mod.  Got it back within a week.  Man this was a Cool thing to do.  Don't have to use IPOD anymore.  NO WIRES,  just select AUX on the HK,  and connect with Bluetooth on your phone.  Wish I had done this sooner.
