Harry, I logged into Amazon and found the Battery Tender brand at $24.99 each. Total with free shipping and tax would be $53.36 for two. The same thing through Harley is $39.95 each. Total would be $87.80 for two including tax. So initially the Amazon offering is less expensive and I would normally go that route.
However, I spoke to my parts guy at Bootlegger and got the discount they were offering at the invitation event last night plus I have some VIP points to spend. Going the dealership route, I would end up with
two of the HD tenders for $34 total (for the two) including tax and he has two in stock (with 9 on order)...not too shabby...
I like the battery tenders. I don't normally use them on the bike since I do ride all year round but I've noticed, as Dave stated, that the batteries do seem to hold up better even if they are on a charge for a couple of days to keep them "full" on the rainy/salt/snow days Beauregard has to sit idle....
