On my 2011 SG, first thing I did was get rid of the stock seat, and put on a 2009 stock touring seat. Wife and I both use the Airhawk 2 pad as necessary. Been riding this way for over 2 years and it's good.
Previous bike, had Mustang 75449, and a 2 up LePera. I got to hating the Mustang. Too much pressure on the tail bone for me and the wife. I loved the LePera, but she didn't because too much of a dished feeling for her was not comfortable. A buddy has the Russel Day long seat. I tried that as well. While visiting family, I visited their shop to discuss how I would like to have it modified a little to remove the edge under my thighs. They wouldn't even consider it.
I've also tried the Corbin and loved it, but wife didn't like the pressure on her pelvic bone caused from the raised lether cover over the driver back rest mount.
Good luck in your search. It's like the holly grail when you find the one that works for both of you.
