Wow, you guys really hate your dealerships.
Sorry, I don't have that problem, have had nothing but a great relationship with them and a number of the techs, one of which is a personal friend.
Thanks for the input though.
No, not hate at all. And I to have some friends that work at dealerships. But my experience at dealerships is that I always have to take my bike back....one...two....three times to get it done right. Also, a couple of dealerships have told me that I need this, this and that and it'll be $$$. I take it over to Jim at Metal Dragon and he calmly tells me "I don't know why they'd tell you that....all you need is this and it's only $.
I had a dealership mount a damn tire backwards! And another time, a front tire wore way down only on the left of the tire (from the center of the tire around to the left side). I said it was a defective tire from the mfg. (OEM) and that I wanted it replace by the mfg. They tried to tell me that it wore like that because they're building the crown in the roads higher. WTF? OK, how come every body else' tires aren't worn on the left only and why just the front tire. They just looked at me with a blank stare.
I had a meeting with the owner and GM of Sacramento HD and explained to them that the last seven times I had my bike in there I had to bring it back at least once and several times twice for simple, common things. That the new service writer (that just came over from the Kawasaki dealership) asked me "what is a CVO?" was the final straw. I took my bike out of there and never took it back.
Many others on this forum have had their experiences, but they're all similar.
