New Here
« on: April 05, 2015, 06:52:05 PM »

How is everyone ? Just joined looking for some advice. Looking at a 2012 CVO Ultra with 5300 miles from a dealer. It is sapphire and silver.Asking 27900. What would be a better choice , A new stock Limited ( Which would sink $$ in customizing or the used CVO. Have owned everything from a sportster to a electra glide classic.Would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Welcome from South Korea. I am sure someone will pipe in. I live in Korea and hard for me to advise. Customizing is expensive so the used one could be the best way. Good luck.

Thanks for the welcome.Thought that what better advice to ask than actual CVO owners. The price of stock new bikes are crazy in my opinion !! New bike hardly any chrome, ugly wheels ,grips and exhaust that is awful. That is why I'M considering a used CVO.The only thing i would change on the CVO is the exhaust.Would be my last bike purchase.

Welcome to the site from NOVA. IMO a new limited (I'm assuming a 2014 or 2015) would be a better choice than a pre 2014 CVO as there are improvements made to every aspect of the bike. But then again I am one of those riders who likes twin cooling, built in GPS with a large screen, linked brakes, etc, etc. So... :)

It's pretty crazy how much they want for a Limited. I rode one for 3 days in Feb. to Key West. Nice bike but missing an awful lot of goodies compared to the CVO. I don't think I could do it but I know what you get with the CVO.

Welcome and good luck with your decision.

That is a choice I'm glad I don't have to make. I like the CVO's for the Bling, but as Cam said there have been a bunch of improvements (or at least changes) in the 3 year gap you are talking about. Tough call.....good luck!!!

Welcome to the site.  :bananarock:

As for the bike choice, I'm leaning to the older models for personal reasons. Good luck with your choice.

Welcome to the site from The Lowcountry of South Carolina!
Choices, choices, new or used? Glad I don't have to make that decision.
I hope this may be of interest to you.
Attending a GTG is the best way to get to know the members and put a face to those screen names. Many a lasting friendship have come out of these GTG's,
So. if you want to meet people, ride some awesome roads, kick back and have fun, come to one or all of the GTG's. ( For the newbies out there, GTG = Get Together )
Make your plans now and avoid the rush. In other words, stop pondering and get a hankering and make reservations and attend.
See ya'll there.
The GTG's are in the event section of the board.

Again Welcome

Welcome from Ohio.  For your question.   They both have their pluses.  For me I can't stand the new radio.  But others love it.  But I like the vent.  Still not sold on the water cooling.  But this is all just one mans opinion.  What do you like the best?  If you don't know right down the pros and cons of each.  Consider resale if you plan on getting rid of it in a few years as well.

Again just my 2 cents.
