Air in Cooling System
« on: April 06, 2015, 11:50:39 AM »

Greetings from north of the 49th. Wondering if anyone can suggest the easiest way to remove air from the cooling system?

air is a bad thing?  who knew?

oh, wait....   :cucumber:

seriously, the manual is not much help.  it just mentions to add coolant and perform bleed procedure.  then it says to see an authorized hd dealer....

looking online, i did find reference to a pdf that talks about bleeding the radiator, unfortunately, it was for a v-rod, and apparently, they have a 'bleed valve' to do this.  i can't find any reference to a bleed valve on the twin cool.  sorry, i looked.

Read the attached pdf, near the bottom of page three are the instructions for bleeding the system.  Basically you leave the cap off and run the fans and pump in test mode until all air is removed, then top off the system and install the pressure cap.
