Thanks for the info guys. I know the S&S lifters are good, was just curious as to any experience with the Gaterman lifters. Kinda planning ahead.

Do yourself a favor and spend the extra coin.  Other option is to find a set of Delphi B lifters.

Aren't those the same as the Gaterman 1021? (which is the one I have)

They are the same style but I'm not sure if they are legitimate B lifters, or if they are a China knock off.  The GP1023 lifters are made in China.  You might try emailing Gatorman.

I'm not trying to save $$ or reinvent the wheel just read some literature and wondered if they performed well. As suggested my replacements most likely will be the S&S lifters. Any ideas on how long the SE lifters in my '15 110'' motor may last?

After the SE lifters cost me 5 grand in motor repairs back in '05, I removed them from my 2014 CVO RK at 300 miles. YMMV.

The stock SE lifters in the '13 and later CVO's aren't the same SE lifters that sucked in previous years, so you really can't go by the reports about the old ones.  So far, knock on wood, I haven't seen reports of early roller failures with the '13 and later bikes that were all to common in the previous bikes.  However, even if the roller doesn't fail and trash the engine, that doesn't automatically mean the rest of the lifter is good.  Noisy, excessive leakdown and slow to pump up, and similar issues may still be a problem.

Thanks Jerry, I have been wondering about that. I figured they need to last the two years to warranty expiration.

Cheers

I've read a lot about lifters and have tried everything from feuling to gaterman. the only failure i had was with a hd c lifter. both my bikes now have s&s premium lifters without the limiters now. set at .140. both bikes are quiet with very little top end noise FINALLY! My seeg gear drive is getting noisy though but its got 60k miles on it. I could write a book :banana rock: btw Both have the se tapered adj pushrods. I think these are great

" so you really can't go by the reports about the old ones. "

Agree, but for me the old adage "once bitten" applies. If I can find any data or reports from users with 25,000 miles or more, that show the late SE's are ok then I'll replace the C's in my 103" with them, otherwise S&S.

Don't get me wrong, if the choice came down to S&S and SE for me, S&S it would be.  Harley has not earned my trust with their history of poor quality parts, including their SE line.  I was just trying to explain to the guys with new CVO's that they shouldn't look at the reports of all the failures with the "C" lifters or the old SE lifters as proof that the new design lifters in their bikes are automatically crap.  We have evidence about those other parts, but so far there doesn't seem to be similar evidence of early failure with this latest design.  At least not roller failure anyway.

Maybe I should have given the SE a chance in my 14' CVO King, but I went S&S at 300 miles. I have the nearly new SE's soaking in oil and if guys don't have failures I'll replace the C's with them in my 15' RoadGlide. I hope for all the owners of 14 & 15 CVO's, good service from those lifters.

I'd stay with those S & S lifters if it were me.
