2015 CVO Street Glide - stage 1 will be first, new cams later in the year to push the power to the right a bit.

The Cat will be going - new headers will be fitted, that's for certain.

But, I've not quite made my mind up on what to do about the mufflers.

Fullsac cores or Fatshots were my first thought, Crusher Mellows seem to have a good rep here and the E-series also has come into consideration.

Noise is an issue - I am often heading for work at 4-5am and don't want to disturb the neighbours more than is necessary, plus I don't want to attract unneccessary attention from the cops in the UK or abroad.

Doing the fullsac cores appeals as it leaves the bike looking stock. The Fatshots appeal as they could be anywhere from a bit quieter to considerably noisier than stock depending on number of discs (according to a chart from Supertrapp). I've also been told that the closed end cap can mollify the cops - who may do a simple inspection by shining a torch up the muffler to see if it looks as though there are any baffles in there before writing out a ticket. Closed end cap = end of inspection!

What would help would be for any of you with experience of the above mufflers to rank them in order of noise (least to most)

Don't want to restrict the motor too much, but would like to be able to open the throttle without wincing too!

Thanks

Andy

Tough choice exhaust. I'd say you would be safe with the Fullsac 1.75" baffles. Like you say, the Supertrapp's sound is adjustable with the discs.

I know parts are pricey on your side of the pond, so the Fullsac's would definitely be the most cost effective choice.

Agreed, the Fulsac stuff is quite impressive without the super noise level. And the deep low tone sound still sounds tough as nails!

The Crusher mellows have been shown to have great performance without being real loud.
