I had a 2003 spirit 750 when my wife and I first started riding, on my friends 24th birthday she took off on it and said she was just running down to the intersection and would be right back. 4 hours later I sent my friends to go find her and send her back to the property we were at (the whole time I am freaking out thinking she is dead in a ditch or worse), an hour past that she comes me ambling up the drive to where I am standing, parks the bike and kisses me on the cheek and goes and grabs a beer. I look at the mileage she clocked, and just a rough estimate, 200 miles!!! I asked her where she went and how she didn't run out of gas? she just shrugged her shoulders and said "I pulled a You" now I have been known to disappear for 4-6 hours if I had a bad day at work (sometimes it takes a whole tank before you can think straight)!! So Tuesday rolls around I made a pair of ridged struts for the rear, chopped the front retainer plug, and installed a set of 18 inch ape hangers because she said she wanted to steal my bike more and eventually get her own. 3 years go by and we go on a 300 mile run with some friends granted the bike is a ridged dropped and aped we pulled up to our house and I shut off the bike, she says we need a bigger bike. Man that bike was cranked and we headed to the local Harley stealer and ordered our 06 Heritage Softail. She asked me what we were going to do with the shadow I said we would make it her bike. That went over like a fart in church. She rode on the back of the Heritage 2 times and we sold the shadow. But now we live in Oregon she is thinking of stealing my SERK well I think I see a Trike in her future
