Thanks to Rimjam I have another Bushtec. 1994 Turbo 2, picked this work in progress up at 3:00 today in the pouring rain.

Needs TLC, will paint this one silver with a black top. Will also extend tongue on it when I do mine. Have the bra and cooler rack and cover. The vinyl is a little stiff hope I can loosen it up, if not they will make good templates.

Tires are OK probably will last a few seasons, shocks pump up and held for a 65 mile trip.  Will see how they do long term.

I have gotten pretty fast at working on them. They are easy to work on. I will start on it tomorrow. The only thing I haven't done to one is lengthen the tongue so that will be a little slow as I am going to build two extensions plus have to lengthen the wire harnesses and air lines on both of them.  May powder coat the tongue and cooler rack on this one black.  Also kicking around painting the wheels black as well.

Should have it in pieces tomorrow.  This one had a luggage rack and bumper but the guy I got it from took them off and tossed them. Leaves me a lot of holes to patch prior to paint.

With the weather getting nice I may spend more time riding than working on it. Will post progress.

Air leak out of system overnight, good news I found the leak at the fill on the tongue, leaked fixed.  Learned something about Turbo 2's that I was not aware of until today. Lid overhangs body significantly allowing water when its raining and you are running down the road to get the felt lining soaked.  Tore it all off lid and will use a bed liner spray to coat lid. Maybe because this lid has the 3rd brake light and hangs over further than the one without it allows them to get wet not sure but I will put a stop to it.   I always wondered why they had a musty smell when closed up, that has to be a big part of it.

Carpet is about 80% clean, will hit it again with spot shot once it drys out.  Got the bra softened up with Murphys oil soap and snapped on to stretch it out. One snap busted. Stretched the cooler cover over my existing cooler, bottom will work, top is pretty crunchy may need to replace it is Murphy's doesn't do it.   

Rewired 3rd brake light to a plugin rather that factory hard wired.  This will allow me to pull lid to line top and reinstall a little easier.

So far so good seems like it will be a great trailer. Had to order more 6 pin flat plugs as I gave my last one away to a guy that needed one for his beemer.  This one has metal tri bar spinners, I ordered Peterbuilt ones to replace them, much lighter and better looking.

Yard work tomorrow and Thursday so trailer work ceases for now.

Not the new one but my satin black 94. Today I extended the tongue by 6 inches. Toughest part of the job was the wiring and air lines. Took about three hours for everything. Bushtec wanted $375.00 plus shipping I have about $35.00 plus my labor invested.

Started to do the newest one however it has apparently sat outside or somewhere to draw moisture. Tongue is rusted fast to the 1 1/4 stub.  Hit it with some PB Blaster will let it sit a few days and see if I can get it freed up.

Haven't had much time to work on the new one.  One of my closest friends was diagnosed with ALS last year. They moved o South West Georgia and I take care of their property here. Got a e mail Thursday morning from Everett telling me goodbye. Scared me so I called his wife no answer sent text no answer so I jumped in my truck and headed south. Glad I did , he had lost 100 pounds in a year, could not talk and was on full time oxygen.  Sat on his bed and held his drawn up little hands, we laughed we cried but most off all I realized he was ready and was good with God.

Checked on him twice a day everyday. On Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at a little after 5AM my dear friend left us to be with Jesus. Everett was a very detail oriented individual, had a photographic memory, hope God has his paperwork in order if he doesn't E will let him know.  He even wrote down what I was to wear to the funeral, going to be a country funeral whatever that is.

Will get back on the new trailer sometime, not much in the mood right now.
