No longer need photos of Red Bike, Mine arrived today and they uncrated it while I was there. Like it, but dark color could have been something besides Earl Schiebs Maroon. Otherwise pretty cool.

DW,

Let us see it then ......................

They had not recieved the paper work from HD when I was there today. The only reason they uncrated was that they wanted to see it. The normal procedure (for my dealer) is to have the paper work from HD before the crate is opened, then a girl types it into the system, then it goes to service mgr who puts it into new bike prep system etc, etc. I bitched enough they promised it to be ready Fri afternoon. I have an uncrated photo if I can figure out how to load it into the system.

Saw a red SEEG on the way home from work yesterday. First one I have seen here in San Diego. Very nice!!!!! The first thing that struck me is how vivid the red is. It almost looked like a dark candy apple red. The gold leaf H-D logo looked awesome against the darker red on the tank. Saw the green last week and sure like the red better. The CVO brochure does not do the colors of the bikes any justice at all!!!

You folks are making me green with envy!  I can't believe a red one shows up in Italy already, and here in the mountains of N.C. I'm still  three weeks away from my shipping date. I even had deposits at two different dealers and the first one to get a shipping date on the red says Oct. 22 the last time I talked with them. At least it gives me time for all my little accessories and add ons that I have ordered to be delivered.

I wish a touch of the lighter red striping and a slash of the gold and dark red had been continued on the side of the tour pak.  Not a lot.  Just enough to continue the theme.  The tour pak sides seem kind of a "bare spot" in comparison as they are.

Oh my.  Just got the call.   Service manager confirmed the bike was shipped yesterday.  Given a little possible variations in travel due in to them Monday.  A painful amount of time at the dealership waiting for paperwork, setup, etc.  Scheduled to pick it up next Friday at 9:00 AM (unless they're ready sooner).   Am nearly excited enough to cause an unfortunate potty accident  [smiley=6.gif]  [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]  [smiley=drink.gif]

Twolanerider, congrats on the news.  Will be the longest 8 days of your life waiting for next Friday.  I think the red is by far the best 05 color.
