BDL Compensator???
« on: April 15, 2015, 09:45:50 PM »

Is any one running the BDL Compensator?  Mine is rattling so bad under acceleration bike sounds like a black smith shop.  Was thinking of the BDL direct sprocket thing. What are the pros and cons, and does any one run this. Cheers.

The BDL part, and the solid sprocket with no compensator at all, have been discussed many times on the site.  If you value your equipment, I'd suggest you forget either of those options.  But feel free to try the search feature and see what everyone had to say.

OK, so I am about to try this BDL compensator as Baker comp is no where to be seen yet.  It is a compensator, not a solid sprocket. Uses the existing comp springs and a screw in type set up to do its job. Comes with all kinds of shims and things to be used on the new SE comp set ups.  Check out this vid, using the old comp style for this one. But it will fit the new style comp as well.  Let me know what you guy's think.

Apparently, my builder talked to them today regarding installation and how the part functions. The BDL guy was saying it is a actual compensator, and fits the newer SE comp set up.  Will let you guy's know what it is like.
