Tour Pak Backrest Question
« on: April 19, 2015, 07:48:39 PM »

I saw another CVO Road Glide today on a ride and the backrest looks different than mine.  I'll be taking it in for the 1,000 mile service and before I talk to the dealer, I'd like to know if mine is the norm or not.  I looked on the HD website and it doesn't have a badge/name plaque in the center of it like the one online.

BTW, this bike is Awesome!!! Thrilled with every aspect of it.  So comfortable, the suspension is great, the motor is superb...you guys get my drift right? hahah

Based on the pics I see on the HD website, I would say yours is NOT the proper seat   :nixweiss:

Yup, I don't have that knob you do.  The other bike was the red one like yours and looked great!

Bladerun, This is what your backrest should look like. I have actually run into this 3 times now. One of my friends who bought a CVO Limited had the same back rest as you. We complained to the dealer and were able to get the proper backrest. I have not seen this before on a Road Glide.

Bladerun,

As Greg said the 15's should look just like the picture he posted, thats what mine looks like.  Sad that it made it by quality control like that, and then it made it through your dealers PDI.

Thanks for all the replies.  I'll be bringing this up when I take the bike in.  Not that the backrest changes the bike at all, it's just the point I guess that I paid for something and I feel like it should be there.  Nit picky maybe, but *shrugs*.. :)

Simple mistake.  We get 20-40 bikes at a time and whoever does the PDI is responsible for getting it right.  Get back there ASAP before they sell the non CVO with your backrest in it
