Hard Bags vs Leather Covered - 2007 SERK -
« on: April 27, 2015, 10:19:28 AM »

I have a 2007 SERK, and I really think I prefer the look of the hard bags over the leather covered bags.  I would like to assume that any hard bag from that year would fit on this, but damned if I wouldnt have to paint them to match as well!!  Anyone have ideas?

Thanks
Glen

The hard bags from Touring models will be interchangeable from 1993 to 2013.

Yes, they fit up the same way.

I swapped my leathers for hard bags. Sold the leathers for 400 so it helped offest the cost. Had a guy paint them to match but I opted not to have flames added in. It looks great. They mount right to the existing hardware. I put 4" extended bags on mine. Really makes the bike!

I have the 08 SERK in the Anniversary colors,  found a fairly new set of gloss black for $600.00.  While I would like to have them painted to match they look better and hold more than the  black vinyl black bags.  Nothing fancy, there is some black in the bike so I can live with it.

I've got an 07' SERK. Same color as yours! ....I would love to ditch the leather bags for some stretched hard bags. I'm looking at the Top Shop - Viper bags. Big $$$....and painting them the Candy Cobalt would be a must! I'd also do the Gold Leaf flames, but more badass than what's on our tank/fender and side-covers. Start them small where they meet the side-cover flames and then let them go huge and crazy down towards the exhaust tips. More or less. lol ....Cheapest way is to have a custom shop match the paint as  best they can as I hear Harley doesn't release paint codes....

All in for no less than $2500 i'd imagine....  >:(
