Guess I would have to buy another CVO, not sure what I would buy now that they don't make a CVO Breakout anymore.

Chip does have another blue bike you could borrow, that way you could mix it up a little and expand your horizons  ;D

Like screamincvo, a '76 Shovelhead.

Mines a FL Electra Glide with "some" modifications.

This is what I was when I bought it in '04.  I rode it a year like this and then tore it down and had it back together in 3 months down to the frame to be powder coated.  I rode it redone for a few years after that until I bought my first CVO '08 SERK.  Then it sat and felt very neglected...  :(

And this is STILL what I would ride after my CVO's.

Or I should say even now with the SERG in the garage, this is still what I ride mostly when my wife is not my BSR.  I enjoy the uniqueness of the old Shovelhead when I stop at the watering hole for a soda.  Some have asked if this was a new Heritage Classic.  But I have to be honest with them and tell them it's not.  It seems that there are LOTS of other great looking touring bikes now and the CVO does not stand out quite as much as they once did.  My solo riding is not long distance and usually only a 100 miles or so a day and the old FL does just fine for that.  If I ride solo further, I always ride the SERG for the tunes, comfort and ride quality.  Oh and speed toooooooooooooo.

I remember back in '06 when we went to Sturgis the first time we stayed in Keystone.  When leaving Rapid City up 16 if we didn't hit the long hills at 65 mph or above, we'd lose speed until I'd have to downshift into third.  And then all bets were off on ever getting back into high gear.  But then in '08 we went out and again stayed in Keystone.  This time I had the new '08 SERK Annie.  Boy did that 110" and 6 speed ever make a difference in long hills like on 16.  It was no problem at all.  This year we're going back again and again we're staying in Keystone.  This time though in the Presidents View Inn/Hotel.  I just made reservations about a month ago and got fairly good pricing: nine nights at $1,600.00.

Hope to see some of you guys there this year.  I'm keeping up with the thread on Events to see where everyone will be etc.

If I wanted something sporty it would be a Triumph Speed Triple (the 1060) or their 675 Daytona for more of a race bike. Maybe an Aprilia for track use, there are no streets where you can really use a bike like that. But I'm really a cruiser guy, so I wouldn't mind trying some other cruisers as long as I still had my CVO King. That Star Raider hauls and handles decently for a so-called factory custom/chopper styled bike. Triumph's Thunderbird/Storm is a plain Jane in terms of styling, but is supposed to handle good and also have good power.
