rear abs brake pedal hard as a rock?
« on: April 29, 2015, 04:22:22 AM »

About a month ago on an 09 street glide with abs.  I changed the brake pads.  There wasn't much left when I got the bike. Everything seemed fine and worked properly.  But if the bike sat for a few days the first rife the brake lever was hard as a rock and no brakes till I pushed on it a couple times to free it.  Then as time went of it would happen every new day of riding then lately has gone to every time I get off the bike for a little bit. Is this something with the abs locking the brakes out? Any way to check to find out what the cause is? Only other thing I can think of is the pull the caliper apart and check the seals and pistons if they are bound up for some reason.  Just doesn't sound like the problem. And I don't want to take it to thr stealer to spend a bunch of money on thier electric brake deal unless I have to.
