Check engine light on
« on: May 11, 2015, 12:18:38 PM »

Pulled a 1501 jiffy stand low code.  I have a thundermax so this is the definition I got.  Anyone have this code before and maybe some advice on how to fix it?  Did a google search and came up empty.

What model and year bike are you talking about?  The reason I ask is that a domestic model 2011 SESG like what is included in your profile supposedly doesn't have a jiffy stand sensor.  There is one listed for HDI models (export).

Sorry about that.  It's a 2011 SESG

Take a look at the bracket and pivot for the jiffy stand and see if you see a switch.  I've got a feeling your ThunderMax is giving you bogus information.

I don't have a switch.  Thanks for the info.  I'll have to call and find out what the deal is.

Maybe you should flash the code out of the odometer just to confirm its the same code the Thundermax is pulling. If different code, it may save you a trip to the stealer and save you some $$$.

Got it figured out.  There is a option in the TMax software for side stand enable.  I had it checked and shouldn't have.
