2004 SEEG Garage door opener
« on: January 11, 2007, 03:48:49 PM »

I just bought a 2004 SEEG and was wondering if it came with the garage door opening module already installed.
Does anybody remember?

I'm gettin old and suffer from CRS but it seems to me like it came on my bike.

Which color did you get?  I think you're going to really like that bike......it's definately got the most recognizable paint jobs (at a glance......going down the freeway in the other direction it'll jump out at you) of all the CVOs.

Both year SEEGs (and then the SEUC's thereafter) got the garage door opener.  So the transmitter should be inside the fairing.  If it wasn't supplied with the bike you'll need to pick up a receiver to complete the system.  It is 91562-01.

Your owner's manual should tell you how to program the thing. When that fails get a teenager to do it.  [smiley=nixweiss.gif] [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

The owner's manual doesn't tell you how to work the teenager though.  Them you just have to bribe.

Gotta have the receiver that wires into the opener, too.  Got that?

I have the receiver and I have a 2006 SEUG with the garage door opener in it and it works fine. I did not get the manual for the 2004 SEEG but the procedure should be the same as the 2006 that I do have the manual for. I wasn't sure if it came with the bike. I guess I should just try and add this bike to my existing receiver.

What's involved with putting one of these on LD (my Road Glide ) Please tell me I don't have to take the fairing apart please please please  Just can't face that again after doing it two, three times a couple weeks ago.

I can't seem to find this part listed in the 2007 parts and accessories catalogue. Is it now an obsolete part or one of those that they don't list, but you can buy ?

Brian, the kit is 91558-01A.  It really is a simple install.  But the outer fairing does need to come off.

B B...sorry you've got to take the fairing apart again, but it really is a nice convenience to have, and it's a real simple install.  I put the transmitter on the Vrod (talk about a TIGHT fit!!), and the instructions are not a problem.  Linking the new transmitter to the receiver is simple too.

Ain't gonna happen TC. Got one in my pocket that works fine. I'll buy it and it'll sit on the shelf till the next time the fairing HAS to come apart for a critical reason.

I'll take that action.  The part will sit there, calling your name; "BB, BB, loverboy, install me; now; pleeeeeeze, I neeeeeeed to be on LD, you love me, you want me, you NEED me.   You know you do.  Take me, make me your own, put me on that bike.  Splice me NOW!"   And one evening Spider and Beags will be imbibing a bit, feet up on the lift, one of them will again hear the package speaking to them and an hour later it'll be on there.  And all this will happen before a calendar quarter passes. ;D [smiley=drink.gif]
