I'll take that action.  The part will sit there, calling your name; "BB, BB, loverboy, install me; now; pleeeeeeze, I neeeeeeed to be on LD, you love me, you want me, you NEED me.   You know you do.  Take me, make me your own, put me on that bike.  Splice me NOW!"   And one evening Spider and Beags will be imbibing a bit, feet up on the lift, one of them will again hear the package speaking to them and an hour later it'll be on there.  And all this will happen before a calendar quarter passes. ;D [smiley=drink.gif]

Dueceroadbitchpacker,

         remember the poem I sent you on your birthday - - -- - add a line to it that ends " up yours sideways "   ;D  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I gotta tell you guys,   this is with out a doubt the best gadgit that the moco has ever made.  I can tell you that over the years,  I've lost at least a dozen clickers (fall out of the pocket,  take them out and forget where they are.....) and admit it BB,  you were looking for one at my house the other day.  This thing is just plain cool.....I Love mine.  I guess the 2 hours or so to install is my fault for letting you ride my bike last weekend.  But what the hell.........YOU'RE buying the beer though!!!!! ;D ;D

I even bought some extra transmitters, and wired them on mine and wife's cages.  Now, when ever we pull into the driveway, we flash out headlights and like magic, the door opens.   8-)

Cheers,

OK, how do you do that? I always lose clickers and would love to just flash the lights and voila!

Then could not just anybody pull in your driveway and flash their lights? [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Buy the transmitter kit 91561-01A.  Then it's just a matter of figuring out which wires to attach the transmitter wires to your headlight wires.  I even used those squeeze taps onto the headlight wires and was done in about 10 minutes.  It's not that hard at all.

Nope, remember, you have to program the receiver on the opener to accept your transmitter.  Just like you did for the bike the first time.

As long as you "set it up" in other words, program the receiver to accept your bikes transmitter, and you go out and buy the additional transmitters, program them to your receiver, you have have multiple set ups.

No one would be able to pull in your drive and flash their lights unless their transmitter was programmed to your reciever.

Cheers, J

I love it, called the dealer, its on order, be here in a week. No more clicker, can move from car to car. I'll probably forget it when I turn in the lease. Must make a note somewhere!

Don,
BB and I were at Biggs on Sunday before the game........I spotted the little sucker on the shelf and tossed it to him.  He looked like he saw a ghost and threw it right back at me......I think Brian's Big Adventure scared him forever! ;D

$ 157.oo is what scared me Bro. I can go to Radio Shack and get a universal remote the size of a key fob and velcro to the inside of the fairing for about 10% of that. I may have OCD, but I'm still a tight fisted son of a B remember  ;)

I know you're kidding MJ, but just in case someone else who hasn't seen the parts is wondering: The garage door receiver (the part inside the garage) is not signaled by the headlights flashing.  Instead the moving of the headlights from low beam to high beam and back down to low beam again gives the electrical signal necessary to signal the garage door transmitter built in to the bike (just like the push button thing on your visor).  It then sends a radio frequency signal in to the garage door opener.

Sorry if this seems pedantic.  But a buddy had to pay me a six pack because he was so sure it was the flashing of the lights themselves that was opening his garage door opener that he was willing to make the bet.  So some can be really unfamiliar with the system.

Matt, I don't think it's the $$$.  I think he's just afraid to admit that he really really really just doesn't want to pull the fairing back off  :nixweiss: !

Abs-a-freakin-lootly,
I've seen Brian blow $1k on chrome stuff that goes under saddlebags or the rear fender and inside Tour Pak's.  He got a little shell shocked (pun intended) with that outer fairing.  Definitely ain't the $$$ thing.  Maybe one day he'll face these fears head on.........and then can fully recover.
