Do both files in the zipped folder (text and iso) need to be put on the flash drive?

In earlier posts you will find that several have reported that after they downloaded/uploaded they had some new features, yet some features did not work, and somethings were missing and other issues. Several have also posted that they followed up by starting over and re-downloading/uploading the update again. This then fixed all the problems for them. I don't know if initially the wrong update was chosen and uploaded or even if the system allows that. It may be that sometimes the unit does not fully install the CORRECT update. In any case, it appears to me that once a proper update is in the system it works. One thing I believe I mentioned earlier is I connect the memory stick to the USB BEFORE turning the bike on in accessory mode. This is what I did and it just all worked the first time. Hope this helps.
thanks. I will try your suggestions. Also I will re download the file on a windows based computer instead of Mac like the first time. However I don't see that as being an issue

Thank you OBB I did it just like the video shows. But like I said my radio has a beep coming out of the speakers. I went to the page in the radio that has the ID and serial numbers and all the numbers are blank. I am going to take the bike to the stealer, but my wife is having a 5 hour surgery today so the scooter will just have to wait. Thank you and everyone for the help. HighOnHd thank you for the post. Yes I know I am computer stupid and computer things have to be explained to me like a little child. All I know are trucks and circle track cars. I have been a heavy truck mechanic for 43 years, and no I don't work on the engine or body control computers on a truck I can't understand how they operate I wish I did!!!!

Sorry if you took offense to that. None was meant. I was only trying to explain reality to HD. I have personally been there trying to explain how to use a mouse to a user when they first came out! It is just the way it is... everyone has their different abilities, and if HD plans on having success with these updates they are going to have to accommodate all levels.

Hope you get it working. Successful updates have been reported in this thread using either Windows or MAC so you are right it won't make a difference. I happened to use a MAC. Good luck. I have to get back to work, and quit worrying about this update!! ;D

It won't hurt. The radio will use the one it needs.

Thanks everyone for the flash drive help. Update went smooth. I'll check the AVC tomorrow. Should their be a choice of "nighttime colors" like there is for day time or automatic? Didn't work before or now and I forgot what the book said it should do.

OK...did the update for the second time and AVC still does not work. And the screen stayed really dark for about 15 minutes before it brightened. It might be working for some but not for me. Still have to follow the old procedure to get it working.

I want to point out again for those that might have missed it.

Before the update, the AVC was a very pronounced difference. After the update, it's more subtle but it is indeed working on my bike.

I have put 1400 miles on the bike since I did the 1.19.0 update, using a Mac.  Here is some of what I found.

At first it did not fix the ACV, but it started working after the 3rd or 4th time I started the bike, and has worked 98% of the time since.

New High contrast for Day is an improvement, you have to press and hold the info button on the right hand and it switches.  Its not perfect but it is easier to see.  However when navigating when it gets down to half a mile the color switches and its impossible to read.

Also when navigating spoken turn and map match, but turn arrow is almost always opposite direction.

Takes longer to boot system up.

When using iPhone as iPod, and you shut the bike off half the time it does not restart the iPod, so this is a new problem for me.

If I receive a Text or e-mail on my iPhone it reduces volume so you can hear the notification sound like it always did.  However now 25% of the time it does not return the volume to normal.  Shutting the bike off and back on does not fix it.  Un plugging and plugging iPhone back in does not fix it.  Receiving a new text, e-mail or phone call does fix it.  So a New Problem

Time zone for east TN still not fixed.  Still thinks it central time, when its eastern.

Intermittent cut out of music still not fixed.

So all in all a slight improvement over the last version.  At the rate Harley is fixing the issues, the new head unit will be out before all the bugs are out of this one.

As stated earlier, if this was a car, the issues would be fixed in weeks at most due to the lines at the dealer ship complaining and falling sales.

I'll have to try that trick. Has to be easier than fumbling through the menu.

For me the ACV works one day and then not the next. At first it was going to weather band radio when started. That has gone away. I think the radio just screws with us
