New SE compensator noise
« on: June 06, 2015, 10:07:01 PM »

Dealer installed the latest version SE comp on my 2009 SE Ultra. Everything is good except after it is hot and I have it in first gear and pull in the clutch and blip the throttle I can hear a clanking noise. It sounds like the comp clanking on the ramps. I pulled the primary cover and everything looks good. I can see some movement marks on the ramps as I would suspect. Anyone else hearing any noise with the new comp? I absolutely hate asking the dealer because I know that they will say that is normal.

Have you fitted a "Compensaver" from GMR, if not, its just a matter of time before it chews itself to pieces,
How many miles on the Comp, if less than a thousand, don't use it anymore and purchase a "compensaver".
Good luck.

Get the New Baker Comp. Have one in mine. Juas came back from  4000 mile trip and not a peep from it. Total silence in all conditions. Love it.
