I noticed my stock seat has the slot in it to install a drivers backrest. I am real interested in doing this. Any tips, or part numbers would be real helpful.

Lots of choices either H-D or aftermarket.

man I wish they made one of those Quick Release mounts for the 13 Road King but fitment does not seem
to show that joy and I've looked at the parts store before on the 13 and no luck

I got a drivers backrest on my new Mustang seat. I love it.
