The cards have nothing to do with any dealership.  They were "our" cards for the CVO group participant to this site.  Our calling card to leave with other CVO bikes or riders when they are seen to direct them here.

He's speaking of the disclaimer that appears both on the front page of the website, as well as on the cards.  I asked the same thing of Neal at one time, but don't recall the answer now.  May have to do with where H-D is incorporated.

You should know better than to ask Neal anything.  Ask Roger.  He can look up everything in 5 seconds flat and probably find a picture! ;D

it could be weird people who want to get in your head, first it starts with cards, and then its dinner and a movie, be afraid, be very afraid ,you have been targeted, it makes twilight zone and outer limits seem like romper room!!! maybe its just me but i don't mind someone giving me card or what ever, just would like to be there, some people i know would be very distraut if saw a stranger around his bike just putting something on there bike, don't want to be un-friendly, just know there is certain people will get in bad mood if one, they don't know you, or two they may think you are harming bike, i know we live in different times, and certain people you must be aware of, i know you mean well ,but to wrong guy thats all it takes, even if you look at them that they think is not to there liking, oh well sorry for negativity just been in wrong place at wrong time, too many people that look for trouble, and they well find it [smiley=angel.gif] [smiley=angel.gif]

I have the CVO Rider sticker on my windshield (and my name on the bike)

I have a CVO sticker on my windshield too, but its rarely on my bike!  But my screen name is on my license plate so I'd be pretty hard to miss!! (Doesn't help a whole lot when you're trying to avoid someone, though!!!)

DW,

Guilty as charged of leaving the cards at Gator Harley and on your Cherry.   Your bike looked great and the rims were very sharp.  Our B/O and O/B were parked out infront of you to the right a little if you were on your bike as well as Tim's Autumn Haze 06.

Bikes Carded were: You 05 Cherry, 06 Charcoal, and 07 B/O.   Was up there with two other forum members and 2 other of their friends that had just bought bikes at Gator.    Never really thought to put my name on the card.  In the cases where the people are at the bikes I have given my name and  invited them and given them a card.

Something to think about though ...   You have been invited by Unbalanced ... hrmm yeah thats the site you want to go to haha.   Boy I can just feel the keyboards heating up for this one.

My question would be..."What have you been up to little lady" that you need to avoid someone!  [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]
I bet it's not you, it's them causing the problem and you want to avoid trouble huh! ;D

Leaving cards can be good or bad depending on the temperment of the owner. Some don't like anyone touching their ride and they consider it as "junk mail. "  I like to talk to the owner to stress that it is a free website full of info so it doesn't look or feel like an ad.
I'm sure I have missed chances to get new members by not tagging the bike without the owner.

so,, basically if I wanted to, I could make up my own card(as long as it contained the disclaimer)
with info on the site,,,  and maybe my name.

anyone have a problem with using the CVO riders group emblem(like the stickers and patches)on the cards??????  instead of Harleys bar and shield.

V, feel lucky folks only notice you for you license plate.  You could suffer the humiliation of being recognized only and objectified for your jugs.  That is if they were powder coated and diamond cut.

You could use the site card and do the other info on the back.  Lots of us have our name info on the back side of the CVO car.

I have my own cards made up that are different from the site cards that I pass out to people I personally meet and want to share contact information with (card has my email address and phone number on it), along w/site information.

However for just leaving a card on a bike in a parking lot I use the generic site card with site only information. Do this to protect me and whomever’s scooter I'm leaving the card on. I would hate for some jealous husband to see where I left my personal card on his wife's scooter and get the wrong idea. [smiley=oops.gif] Or some hot chick riding up to me one day and saying "hey you left your card on my bike at such and such, and I look over at wife and get one of those "looks". There are a couple other reasons I feel are important just to use the generic site card when not meeting someone in person when placing a card on there scooter when they not around. These all may just be unjustified but they work for me. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Was at a well attended little rally in Fayetteville AR last year, tons of bikes shoe horned in to lots of small places.  Placed cards on quite a few bikes in the parking area I'd started in as I walked the lot looking for targets. The hit a few more as I walked the downtown area where thousands of bikes were parked and resting.  Probably dropped off 15 cards overall.

A few hours later when I came back there was a card on my bike.  To this day I don't know if I was so oblivious as I walked that sea of bikes that I got my own or if someone else tagged me.
