Mild clicking when rear brake is applied?
« on: June 23, 2015, 07:05:45 PM »

Rear braking creates a "card in the bike spokes" clicking noise. This is not loud but clutch pulled, stereo off you can hear it.  Am I looking at wheel bearing or some other plague? Any advice is apreciated.

I would check your rear brake pads 1st. Then I would carefully inspect your wheel bearings.

My Indy diagnosed it as noises pads on rotor holes.  Sounds reasonable, since the pads were recently changed.

had a rear tire replaced one time . mechanic also replaced valve stem while tire was off, trouble was the new valve stem was a tad longer than the original and would hit the brake caliper every time it came around.  s
ounded just like a card in the spokes. needless to say I did not get far before the stem cut off leaving me on side of the road with a flat tire.

I would try to make them pay the towing fee and make them fix the tire no cost to you because of their screw up.
